Insomnia is when you go to bed exhausted, yet can’t fall asleep. You toss and turn, keep looking at the clock feeling frustrated, your muscles are tense, your mind is racing. Finally, you may fall asleep for a couple of hours before morning. You get through the day feeling lethargic, irritable and only semi efficient. When evening comes you dread the sleepless night ahead.
Insomnia may last for months or years leading to:
Becoming easily irritated
Difficulties with memory retention
Impaired ability to concentrate during the day
Increased conflicts in your relationships
Other sleep difficulties include nightmares, teeth grinding, snoring, sleep walking and bedwetting.
