How it works
Our mind/body approach helps you connect with your body and become more conscious of how you breathe, move and speak and how your body holds physical tensions related to the way you think and feel. This helps you get to deeper rooted emotional and thought patterns that are not often resolved on the level of the mind alone.
Current scientific research in the field of psychobiology has provided ample evidence that feelings from the past are stored in the body and unconsciously have a powerful effect on how we feel about ourselves and how we behave.
Using your body as a gateway to the deeper feelings and beliefs makes it possible to release muscle tension in the body along with the negative thinking patterns linked to these tensions allowing you to access your sense of vitality and well being both physically and emotionally and to be more comfortable in your own body.

Without a solid sense of your true self you don’t know
where to turn for truth and validation.
For many people, their sense of Self and who they are is based on how others see them, how they look, what they own, what they do and how they act in the world rather than who they are at the core. They look towards others rather than within themselves for the source of their validation and approval.
When you live your life the way “you think you should” in order to gain love and approval, you slowly lose the sense of what is true and right for you.
This can leave you feeling dissatisfied, empty and hollow despite having so much on the outside (family, friends, money) and eventually leads to anxiety and depression.
Early childhood experiences of having your feelings denied, ridiculed or dismissed - not being seen and heard for who you are or growing up in an unpredictable or chaotic environment can slowly erode your connection to your Soul.
Tension in the body stops you from feeling good.
If you repeatedly think negative, critical, scary thoughts and feel anger, fear, sadness and frustration, over time, your body will develop tension and “holding patterns”, like a knot in the stomach, heaviness in the chest, tension in the shoulders and neck. The tensions become a “habitual” way of being in your body and a place where your thoughts and feelings of anxiety and depression are stored.These body tensions block your ability to feel a sense of well-being and feel connected to your True Self. They make you stiff, rigid, tired, exhausted, and heavy in the body and they restrict your capacity to feel the joy within you.
The key to making lasting changes is in your thoughts.
When you address the holding patterns in your body, that are keeping your thoughts and feelings of anxiety and depression anchored within you, you can then successfully and permanently change long standing negative feelings and thoughts because your mind and body are completely interconnected.
When you release these tensions you can live in the body with confidence and ease and you can connect with your True Self and experience your natural sense of vitality, aliveness and positive energy.
Your True Self of Soul is experienced within you as a sense of well being, moral rightness and authentic identify. It’s the place that knows what is really true and right for you.
